Secrets to success
Temperature: Ideally 18- 21°C, keep this plant away from draughts and cold spots.
Light: Codiaeum do best in a brightly lit spot - direct sun could cause bleaching, too little sun would turn the leaves green.
Watering: Water when the soil begins to dry out. They are not as thirs as other plants, but they will drop leaves if kept too dry. Take note, wilting for a Croton means too much water.
Air Humidity: They prefer moderate to high humidity, this can be achieved by grouping plants together, misting, using a humidifier and placing your plant on a tray of watered pebbles.
Fertilising: Feed every few waterings during growing season, dilute fertiliser to half the recommended dosage. No need to fertilise in winter.
This plant is toxic.
