Philodendron 'Cherry Red' is a cultivar from the Araceae family. It is a compact self-heading plant, new leaves are elliptic to ovate in shape and unfurl a rich red colour and become more green over time. Foliage tends to get more coarse with age and its leaves more prominently ribbed.

Secrets to success
Temperature: 15-24°C.
Light: Bright indirect is best; rotate for even growth.
Watering: Water when almost completely dry, Philodendron do well when they dry out a little.
Air humidity: Average to higher humidity for optimum growth.
Fertilising: Feed every 2 waterings during the growing period and remember to dilute synthetic fertiliser to have the recommended amount to avoid leaf burns.
Potting mix: A light airy mix that is fast draining, a mixture of coco coir, orchid bark and perlite is ideal.
