ABOUT ME
Hey, I'm Senecio radicans AKA "String of Bananas" and you can see why! I'm a succulent and I've got stunning, trailing stems with round banana-like leaves. I'm perfect for a hanging basket or a high book shelf so I can show-off my attractive foliage.
DETAILS
I’m in a 14cm hanging pot and foliage is around 30cm length.
LIKES
I like a bright spot with a bit of direct sun every now and again. Early morning sun would be ideal as its not too strong for me.
DISLIKES
Over-watering as I'm drought tolerant and store water well in my leaves.
LOOKING AFTER ME
I don't need too much water so just water when my soil is dry to touch. Mist my leaves regularly increase humidity. Make sure my winter temperature stays above 10°C and repot me every couple of years.
LIVING WITH PETS AND CHILDREN
I can be toxic to pets and children. Keep me out the way!
